Happy Mothers Day
Celebrate Motherhood
Mother’s Day is not a federal holiday but it’s a day to celebrate motherhood and show appreciation for mothers, including grandmothers, stepmothers, foster mothers and other mother figures. The history goes way back: the modern holiday was first celebrated in 1908. Anna Marie Jarvis was the founder of this holiday in the United States.
Mother’s Day Celebrations
Celebrate this day lovingly and sweetly. You can celebrate it by your family gathering. Cook your mother’s favourite dish at home or have dinner along with your mother at some restaurant.
You also can visit your mother along with your own family with a gift for her.
Decorate your Mom’s Door
If you’re local, you can have fun decorating your mom’s front door with streamers, a wreath, special signs, and flowers! If you have kids, get them involved! Mom or grandma will love the surprise.
Cook for Mom
If your mother is living with you, breakfast in bed is always a classic and appreciated. Something simple is fine for this, for example toast or a croissant with jam or fruit and a cup of coffee or tea.
Make a Homemade Gift
You don’t need to go out to a store and buy a gift. Mothers love gifts from the heart.
Some fun craft projects—including gifts from the kitchen as well as DIY beauty products for a home spa basket.
