What I like about MAC PREP + PRIME SKIN?
- Adds luminosity to skin
- Great for normal to dehydrated skin
- Tacky therefore holds the foundation in place for a long time
- Great as an eyeshadow primer
- Helps foundation last for 8+ hours
- Hygienic packaging
- Keeps skin fresh all day long
What I don’t like about MAC PREP + PRIME SKIN?
- Contains silicone
- Irritates sensitive skin
- Causes breakouts
My thoughts on MAC PREP + PRIME SKIN?
This is quite frustrating that I cannot try MAC products because almost every product that I tried gave me terrible breakouts and I admit I have acne prone skin but why is it that a giant like MAC hasn’t worked on making their products in a way that they don’t irritate sensitive or acne prone skin. I have stopped using MAC for the only reason that it breaks me out. They make great products but this is such a huge concern for somebody like my skin type and they are losing their customer base due to that. I know MAC is a makeup giant and can still make ample profit but it would add more to their profits and reputation if they work on making products that are adjustable to sensitive and breakout prone skin.
Really hoping MAC gets to read this post!
This primer is great and I loved the results but unfortunately, I had to give it away because of the one and only issue i.e. breakouts. Thank God it was the sample size so I did not lose anything as such except that I had to deal with a terrible cystic breakout for about 12 days.
