What I don’t like about NYX WONDER STICK?
The only thing I don’t like about it is that you have to set it with a powder on top to increase longevity but this is not something that can cause it to lose points out of its overall rating. It still scored 5/5.
My thoughts on NYX WONDER STICK
This is a great innovation by NYX and I’ve always loved the idea of cream contour products because I find them more natural looking and close to perfection. I’ve always wanted a contour/highlighter in one and in stick form like the ones produced by Tarte, Clinique and Smashbox but I found them more on the expensive side. I thought of giving NYX wonder stick a try and see if I like it and can work with a stick formula then I would switch to better versions but looks like now I am never switching to any other stuff because I love it so much (even though I would still wander for obvious reasons, you know the desire of a makeup junkie wanting to try something new every now and then).However, this is my holy grail for creating a base for contouring now. I use the contouring side more than the highlighter one even though I love both equally.
Pro Tip
- Use it to as a base to define your cheekbones, jawlines and your nose
- Use it as you would use a pencil to draw your natural contours
- Dust matching contour and highlight powders on top like you would shade your drawing once you have created a structure
